Ode to Lulu gets 90 points from IWC

The rose’ scores, which come out later and just in time for summer were published recently.  Ode to Lulu received 90 points, and along with Soter, Radio-Coteau’s County Line, and Scherrer Winery, was the highest scoring new world rose’ in the issue.

Pale orange. Smoky, mineral-laced red berry and blood orange aromas are complicated by white pepper and chalk. Dry, focused and pure, with tangy redcurrant and citrus flavors that expand with air, picking up a deeper bitter cherry quality. The finish strongly echoes the mineral and pepper notes. A grown-up style of pink wine that will be extremely flexible at the table. 90 points
