Tonight’s Dinner, 6/15

Well, tonight was a classic Monday work-night.  Not a lot of motivation, but HUNGRY.  Thus, a little comfort food and wine.

Fresh spaghetti with chicken sausage, fresh marinara, and plenty of thai basil.  A little Caesar salad from Sonoma Market for greenery.

2007 Ridge Geyserville.  Super-ripe, spicy, and rich, this is one of the best Geyserville’s I have had in a while.  The fruit was so dense that the American oak did not annoy me like it usually does.  Interestingly, this famous mixed black vineyard was blended to have only 58% Zinfandel.  Yeah, mixed blacks!
