Join Bedrock on the Klamath River for 4th of July

On the fourth of July I typically avoid the insanity and head to the high Sierra’s with a group of friends.  This year though I am avoiding the insanity by joining my good friend, and ridiculously experienced river-guide, Jimmy Katz on a trip down the Klamath River.  As the guest winemaker on the trip this means I provide the wine!

Having done similar trips with Jimmy on the Rogue and Salmon River I am really looking forward to it.  The trips are low-key but really fun.  You can ducky, like me, in a kayaak through the class 2-3 rapids, or be rowed while enjoying the beauty in oarboat.  The food is always killer, and there will be plenty of refreshment.

Find out more at Jimmy’s website, James Henry River Journey’s, and sign up.

The trip is $475, but this includes almost that in wine alone– I will be pouring the Heirloom Wines, the Syrah’s, and Ode to Lulu Rose’, and the Cuvee Caritas white (aka, the whole Bedrock portfolio).  If feeling inspired and depending on the size of the group I may pull a few other wines that I love that are not my own to bring along.

For those looking to have a nice long-weekend this is an ideal opportunity.  Think about it– serving for 2 at Michael Mina with tasting menu, without wine: $500.  An entire weekend of great wine, food, company, and scenery: $475.

Plus, my mama is coming and she is a pistol….
