Doug Wilder’s new blog

It is rare that I get really excited about a new blog coming up (after all there are so many of us!), but this is one that is going to be really worthwhile.

Doug Wilder, who has been writing about and reviewing California wines since the early 90’s has left his position at Vinfolio and will be focusing on a new project centering around his Purely Domestic Wine blog.  If you have never looked at his reviews at Vinfolio it is worth checking them out as he is both even-keeled but excited about wine.

I had the good luck to run into him at a recent event done for the WIne Bloggers Conference at Kick Ranch and he was nice enough to write some complementary things about Bedrock Wine Co.’s 2007 Kick Ranch barrel sample and the 2008 Cuvee Caritas Graves-blanc style blend (along with Shane and Silent Morning Cellars).
