Sugars
Crazy f#$*&^ing week…
First, the wonderfully successful tasting put on by Kick Ranch producers. I thank all of you (270!) that came out and tried the wines.
Second, we are bottling tomorrow so I am about to have a heart-attack.
Third, things are getting sweet! As of today we are looking at:
Kick Ranch Sauvignon Blanc 20.7 brix 2.95 pH 11.0 g/l TA
Monte Rosso Semillon 19.6 brix
Rebecca’s Pinot Noir 22.4 brix
The Semillon, which was looking like the front-runner, seems to have slowed down a bit. My bet is on the southside of Rebecca’s to be the first in, followed by Kick Ranch Sauvignon Musque, followed by the northside of Rebecca’s.
Also, got sampling from Wildcat today– 15.8 brix, a pH of 2.95, and 18.2 grams of tartaric! Goodbye teeth enamel….
